After the successful presentation at Arab Health in January, the Global OrthoBiologic, Inc. team was invited again to Dubai to discuss new business ventures and opportunities. Randy Beimel, President of GOB and Mihail Blagoev, VP International Business Development were warmly welcomed during their one-week visit.
February 27: The GOB team was invited by Dr. Hesham Nadrah and Mr. Yasser Aly, CEO of Novel Pharma (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) to join them for a business meeting in one of the private conference rooms in Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai. Mr. Aly is the Advisor of the KSA Ministry of Health. The Novel Pharma team was highly interested in the Magellan system and all the products of Arteriocyte. The Magellan System is a fully automated, dual spin, self-balancing, microprocessor driven system with intelligent detection capabilities utilizing optic sensors in addition to centrifugal force and cell density for cell separation. This system was designed to be gentle on the cells and flow cytometry testing showed that 97% of platelets are not activated during processing. In addition, the Magellan does not depend upon user accuracy for product quality and it is not a hematocrit dependent system. Together, these benefits allow for a consistent and reproducible product and this is exactly what Novel Pharma was looking for! Our team was perfectly prepared for the meeting and the experts from Saudi Arabia were more than impressed. The presentations led to a discussion for a mutual corporation and an opportunity for GOB to enter the Saudi Arabian market with the support of Mr. Aly. He agreed to all the terms and conditions in order to become the new distributor of Arteriocyte in Saudi Arabia. Although Arteriocyte is already registered in Saudi Arabia, Mr. Aly assured us that he is willing to implement all the products and make the company stronger than ever before.
February 29: A meeting with Dr. Shawked Al Khayal from Al Khayal Medical Centre (Best Men’s Health Clinic in Dubai).
Al Khayal Medical Centre is a private multi-specialty clinic that provides top-notch medical treatment and testing for patients with STD. Aside from being a local STD clinic Dubai patients can rely on, the Centre also specialize in providing quality medical and testing services for those who are afflicted with prostate disease, ureteric and kidney stones, and erectile dysfunction (also known as ED dysfunction), and other urological and reproductive health maladies.
Dr. Shawfed Al Khayal is a consultant urologist with more than 20 years of experience. He graduated from Baghdad University College of Medicine 1991 and moved to The United Kingdom after his internship where he had obtained training, experience and higher qualifications. Dr. Al Khayal completed his Masters Degree in Urology from UCL in 2004 and a Fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons in Urology in 2008. He was a lecturer at Sussex University Medical School, UK, and an Honorary Consultant at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals and the head of Urology Department at Benenden Hospital in Kent. Dr. Al Khayal moved to Dubai in 2013 as a consultant urologist and head of department at the American Hospital Dubai. Established Al Khayal Medical Centre for Urology and Andrology at Dubai Healthcare City, 2014.
During our day visit, Dr. Al Khayal performed the latest therapies for Sexual Wellness (OShot & PShot) using our Magellan device. March 01: Meeting with the team of Nova Group, Yemen
Nova Group will cover the territory of Yemen with the complete portfolio of GOB products. The company is one of the largest pharmacy suppliers and a top leader in food supplements in Yemen.
Mr. Ali Al-Bakri, the Chairman of “NOVA GROUP FOR TRADE INVESTMENT & AGENCIES REPUBLIC OF YEMEN” and his financial advisor discussed with us all the requirements and steps needed to introduce GOB products in Yemen. As the Republic Of Yemen is experiencing difficulties with regards to payments outside the country, Mr. Al-Bakri decided that Dubai will be his financial center in the alliance between Global OrthoBiologic, Inc. and Nova Group.
March 02: GOB team presented the wound care protocol and case reports of our key scientific officer Dr. Dzihan Abazovic to Rafaat Abdallah, the CEO of Abu Dhabi International Medical Services (ADI).
ADI is a leading healthcare solutions provider representing some of the world’s renowned medical equipments and pharmaceutical companies. Their goal is to implement and introduce the Magellan system as an innovative option into the wound care sector.
March 03: On our last day of visit, GOB met with our partner from Sigma Medical (Jordan) & Curamed (Dubai) – Mr. Anton Atalla. He was interested in representing our portfolio not only in Jordan but in Dubai as well and his main interest was the microfracture treatments.
The GOB team will be visiting Dubai again after the Ramadan season as more and more distribution companies and physicians are interested in our portfolio, presentations and medical trainings.
